语法：

1．  能运用一般现在时叙述植物成长的过程，及以此类推可用来叙述一般的客观事实。

2．  How开头的特殊疑问句。

教学中应注意的问题：

1. 复习a/an的正确用法：         an ugly cocoon        a uniform

应让学生知道在可数名词之前加a/an，主要取决于单词的第一个字母的发音是否是元音因素。还可拓展： an honest girl            an hour   

                   an eight-year-old boy      a one-day trip

2. 区分look, read的具体用法：

  look 着重于动作 e.g.: look at the blackboard  look at me  look out of the window…

  read着重于阅读书报 e.g.: read a book   read a newspaper…

还可拓展：watch  注视  e.g.: watch TV   watch a match   watch me…

          see    看到（具体的东西）e.g.: I can see five dogs coming to us.

3. “How do/does…?”的特殊疑问句：

        本单元出现的句型：How do you spell that in English?

还可拓展：How do you say that in English?  应告诉学生English表示国家的语言应大写，拓展其它国家的语言：French, Italian, Japanese, Thai, Russian, German…

根据How…?引导的特殊疑问句，教师还可操练以下句型：

    How do you like…?                 How do you go to …?

    How does he/she like…?             How does he/she go to…?

4. 一般现在时用于描述客观事实：

       本单元中，用一般现在时向学生说明了蝴蝶由卵变成成虫的过程。因此在英语时态学习中应注意一般现在时可用于描述客观事实。

E.g.: The sun rises in the east.

The moon turns around the earth.

The wind blows and blows.

5. one 作为代词的用法：

  one是个数词，但也可作代词。

E.g.: Look, I have two books. One is new. The other is old.

如one用来代替名词的复数时，应用它的复数形式ones。E.g.: Which bags do you like?

The brown ones.

6. 教学中可设计激发学生动口的相应问题如下：

   Which insect do you like?

   How do you say that in English?

   How do you spell that in English?

   How is the insect when it is an egg?

   How is the insect when it is a caterpillar?

   … ….

7.写作训练：

  Write a composition about your favourite insect like the model on P48.
